Sirens blare and red and blue lights illuminate the scene as a procession of eight emergency vehicles winds its way through Rancho Murieta. The Santa and Sirens parade made its way to the South on December 20 and the North on December 21. In the left photo, spectators near the RMA Building joyfully wave to Santa Claus. Meanwhile, the right photo captures Santa, his sleigh, and the reindeer receiving a lift from an old Florin Fire Department truck. Noteworthy participants included four rigs from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District (which absorbed Florin Fire), three from the Sacramento Sheriff’s Office, and one from the Rancho Murieta Community Services District Security Department.
